In 2019, My Chemical Romance tried to get back together by starting The Reunion Tour in LA. Unfortunately the new black plague rained on their black parade.
2022 became the year the boys got the band back together in a grand manner: they released their first new song in 8 years, their tour made it into the Top 20, and despite some annoying concert cancellations the emo heroes found themselves strangely more popular than when they broke up.
Here’s how it went down.
1/24 A few days after adding a second day to the When We Were Young festival in Vegas, headlined by MCR and Paramore, the organizers added a third and final day (which turned out to be much-needed).
3/7 Due to The War, MCR is forced to cancel their June gigs in Russia and Ukraine.
3/9 The band continues to announce more tour dates throughout the US including a 5-night run in LA
3/15 Cardi B gives it up to MCR
