Sabrina Carpenter brought her trademark sassy silliness to Saturday Night Live on Saturday (10/18), performing two songs from her chart-topping album Man’s Best Friend.
She opened with “Manchild,” the single that has become one of the biggest hits and the lead track from the album. Dressed in a simple yellow tee with “Live From New York” written across the chest and tight pink undies with “It’s Saturday Night” playfully printed on her backside, the singer danced around a set meant to mimic a woman’s bedroom.
Flanking her on each side of the set were members of her band as well as two background singers. She sang into a microphone shaped as a hairbrush.
“I wrote manchild on a random tuesday with amy and jack not too long after finishing short n’ sweet and it ended up being the best random tuesday of my life,” Carpenter wrote on her IG this summer when the song was over.
