The first trip The Killers made to the UK would be the one that decided their fate.
It didn't hurt that they had a handful of absolute bangers that they'd be rocking more than two decades later. But when the Vegas band made their first trip across the pond, they weren't so sure any of it would work out.
They were fairly popular back home in Nevada but anywhere else they were having trouble pulling in big crowds. Before their shows in the UK, they were playing clubs like The Satellite (formerly Spaceland) in Los Angeles whose capacity was 250-300. Their mission in LA that trip wasn't really to gain an audience as much as get a record deal. It didn't happen.
