Soundgarden returned to the stage in Seattle on 9/9 with The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready for a special halftime performance at Lumen Field during the Seahawks’ season opener against the New England Patriots.
McCready played the national anthem before the game, then joined Soundgarden as the band performed “Outshined” and “Spoonman” at halftime. Seattle went on to beat New England 13-10.
Momsen has become a frequent collaborator with the surviving members of Soundgarden since Chris Cornell’s death, including appearances at the 2019 I Am the Highway tribute and the band’s 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
