Five songs received their live debuts during the 2026 Reading and Leeds festivals, with Skepta, Fontaines D.C., Raye and Role Model using the huge weekend crowds to unveil new material.
Skepta introduced “Pandora’s Box” and “Innocent Smile” at Reading, previewing his forthcoming sixth solo album, Fork & Knife. Fontaines D.C. debuted “Happy for You” during its Leeds headlining set after delays forced the band to drop the song from its Reading performance; the track is expected on the James Ford-produced Dopamine Chamber.
Raye gave “The WhatsApp Shakespeare.” its first live performance at Reading, adding another song from THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE to a set already dominated by the album. At Leeds, Role Model finally performed “Stain,” the breakup song from Chuck Timely & The Hourglass that Tucker Pillsbury had told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe would appear only on selected nights.
