Guns N’ Roses Continue Their Black Sabbath Tribute in Poland

Still riding the wave of the crazy train of love they were a part of in England last week during the Back to the Beginning tribute for Ozzy’s last show with Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses added “Junior’s Eyes” to their epic setlist Saturday (7/12) in Poland.

When people talk about a deep cut, there’s very few as deep as this one, taken from the final Sabbath album before Ozzy was fired, and was originally sung by his temporary replacement, Dave Walker.

The tune was such a red-headed stepchild, Sabbath only performed it once, and that was with Walker, not the Prince of Darkness. Interestingly, when it was time to record the melodic oddity, Ozzy edited the lyrics to pay tribute to his dead father.

So if Axl, Slash, Duff, and the others were looking for a Sabbath tune to resuscitate, something the masses had probably never heard – much like what they did with the majority of tunes they covered in The Spaghetti Incident in 1993 – it’s hard to think of a better track.
