Mother Nature sure tried her best to ruin Lana Del Rey’s first-ever U.S. headlining stadium show in Boston, but there was no summertime sadness at Fenway Park Thursday night.
Fans suffered through 100 degree heat and then a torrential rain that delayed the gig at Major League Baseball’s oldest stadium from 8:30pm to 10pm.
Sadly the late start forced the singer, who turned 39 at midnight, to cut the show short after just 15 songs.
Right before the delay, the video screen echoed the announcements being made on the speakers around the grand old park once home to Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, and Big Papi.
