Eminem is known for many things: intense, often inflammatory lyrics; cutting humor; and the ability to rock the mic with lightning speed as he displayed in “Rap God” in 2013.
In that song, Em paid homage to the all-female LA rap outfit, J.J. Fad, of the 1980s by taking their hit “Supersonic” and doing it one faster.
When critics said it was a novelty that he couldn’t possibly replicate live, the Detroit phenom live debuted it on the European MTV Music Awards the year it dropped and has proceeded to perform it 45 times since.
