Tom Morello kicked out the jams at The Roxy in West Hollywood on Thursday (12/5) with a star-studded tribute to the late Wayne Kramer.
The Rage Against the Machine guitar hero spearheaded the second of two benefit shows in honor of Kramer, the MC5 legend and outspoken activist, who struck his last power cord in February at the age of 75.
Morello’s first tribute was a stripped-down acoustic affair at the tiny Hotel Cafe on 11/25 (with special guest Jackson Browne), Thursday’s was an electric event in ever sense.
Thursday’s lineup was a glorious mixture of music with incredible guests from rock and hip-hop: Chuck D of Public Enemy, RZA from Wu-Tang Clan, Steven Van Zandt from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Ben Harper, and even Morello’s teenage son Roman got to rock out on the famous stage for several songs.
