Jane’s Addiction had a very special guest join them for a pair of songs at their recent gig in Cologne, Germany, Mr. Tom Morello.
“It just so happens we ran across a very dear old friend of ours who will join us on this next song,” singer Parry Farrell said before introducing the guitar hero best known for his trademark licks in Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.
The ominous bass riff of “Mountain Song” set the tone and the dual guitar attack of Dave Navarro and The Night Watchman kicked in, gloriously.
The tour is the first one with Navarro since he came down with Long Covid back in December of 2021. And it’s the first tour Dave has played with Jane’s original bassist Eric Avery since 2010.
