Olivia Rodrigo announced on Tuesday that all the groups performing at her Daisy Chain Fields Festival this August will be doing it all for free so that as much income from the event can go to the charities.
Chappell Roan, Stevie Nicks, Doechii, Sarah McLachlan, Garbage, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Karen O, Katseye, Mitski, Die Spitz, Eli, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not for Radio have all agreed to forgo their typical fees, Rodrigo told Good Morning America yesterday.
“100% of the net proceeds of the festival go to charity, and all the incredible artists who are on the bill are doing it for free for charity, which is just a real testament to their hearts as well as the talent,” Rodrigo explained to GMA’s Diane Sawyer.
The charities who will benefit from the largess will include: Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the National Institute for Reproductive Health, the National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.
