The Rolling Stones owe nothing to nobody.
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, have been on stage for so long, they performed over 800 Stones concerts before a man ever walked on the moon.
If at this point in their career, with their world tour being sponsored (sarcastically?) by AARP, if they only want to play a dozen tunes off Hot Rocks and call it a night, they have more than earned that right.
But the Stones don’t phone in shows. And, whereas plenty of other groups, younger in age, are calling their tours this summer their final ones, the Stones are neither saying such foolishness, nor are they acting like they’re rather be fishing.
