Yesterday Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival set times were released and it drove home how solid the line-up is.
Going from Santigold at 1pm to punkers Die Spitz to dance crew KATSEYE to riot grrls Bikini Kill, the afternoon collection of groups is nothing to sneeze at… and that’s all before Mitski finishes her set at 4:20.
Then there’s the onslaught of chart toppers and legends of The Breeders, Doechii, Garbage, Chappell Roan, Marina’s new outfit Not For Radio, and then Olivia with her special guests that will include Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks.
It’s an incredible assortment of talent that’s reminiscent of the stacked lineups of Lollapalooza ’94 where at any given day fans could have experienced most of this list: A Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Boredoms, George Clinton & the P-Funk All Stars, Green Day, Guided by Voices, L7, Luscious Jackson, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Shonen Knife, Stereolab, The Breeders, The Flaming Lips, The Pharcyde, The Smashing Pumpkins and The Verve.
While it’s true the first Daisy Chain Fields doesn’t happen until later this month (get on the waiting list here), seeing the set times has made many wonder what next year’s lineup could be if Olivia wanted to really go for it.
