Bad Bunny Brings Out Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin at Super Bowl

The pressure on Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl must have been intense as politicians, musicians, athletes and critics both praised the Puerto Rican superstar and knocked it because he's a singer who only performs in Spanish.

While some were concerned that his appearance as the halftime entertainment on Super Bowl Sunday (2/8) would be turned off once a big swatch of the US audience once they either didn't hear songs they were familiar with or a language they were raised with; others pointed to the fact that Benito is beloved around the globe, including in the States, and has had no problem selling out arenas around the world for years.

Coco Jones Belts Out “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at Super Bowl

When Grammy Award winning singer Coco Jones sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing" before the kickoff of the Super Bowl on Sunday (2/8) many were surprised on social media when some called it The Black National Anthem.

Unlocked: Rico Nasty

Straight outta Prince George's County, Maryland, Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly aka Rico Nasty, is one of the hardest female rappers on the scene, harkening back to the early days of gangsta rap of the '80s and '90s but mixed with punk sensibilities and straight ahead beats.

She began uploading original music while still in high school, starting with her first mixtape Summer’s Eve (2014) and following with The Rico Story (2016), Sugar Trap (2016), Tales of Tacobella (2017) and Sugar Trap 2 (2017) before signing to Atlantic Records.

Olivia Dean and The Best New Artist Noms Shined at the Grammys

Olivia Dean and The Best New Artist Noms Shined at the Grammys

The Best New Artist Grammy is a cherished award for young musicians as they are quickly peers in an exclusive club that includes heavy hitters like The Beatles (1965), Mariah Carey (1991), Lauryn Hill (1999), Christina Aguilera (2000), Alicia Keys (2002), Kanye West (2005), Adele (2009), Billie Eilish (2020), Olivia Rodrigo (2022), and Chappell Roan (2025).

The award doesn't guarantee success, nor does it eliminate the possibility of being a one-hit wonder like what happened with Starland Vocal Band (1977), A Taste of Honey (1979), and Milli Vanilli (1990, whose award was notoriously revoked).
