In the 24 festivals that led up to this year’s spectacular, thousands of bands have graced the desert stages upon the polo fields.
Incredible acts like Prince, AC/DC, Madonna, Beastie Boys, Beyoncé, Kendrick, The Replacements, even 2Pac’s hologram have delighted the crowds who pilgrimaged to the Coachella Valley just east of Palm Springs.
And yet there are still a lot of veteran acts who have yet to experience the majesty of even one weekend in Indio.
Here are the handful of longtime acts who got their first taste of Coachella last weekend.
About 2/3rds the way down David Guetta’s epic set on Saturday night, he brought out Jennifer Lopez for their song “Save Me Tonight.”
